Kids for Character was a program that was released on DVD in 2012. It was a charity special about moral character that featured many different children's characters. It was produced by The Character Counts! Coalition and was distributed by Lyrick Studios (now HIT Entertainment). A sequel to the Kids for Character video, entitled Kids for Character 2 : Choices Count, was released on October 2013. and Another sequel to the Kids for Character video, entitled Kids for Character 3: Make Your Choices Count, was released on July 2014.

Each of the six shows represented a different "pillar" of character (trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship):
- Animaniacs - The episode Ups and Downs is used to teach Wakko about trustworthiness. They are stuck in an elevator for several hours.
- Barney & Friends - In this skit created for this video, Barney as well as Min, Shawn, and Tosha teach Baby Bop about respect through song.
- The Magic School Bus - The episode Wet All Over is used to teach responsibility.
- Lamb Chop's Play-Along! - Lamb Chop and Shari Lewis talk about when she had to split jelly beans between Lamb Chop and Charlie Horse in a lesson on fairness.
- Malcolm in the Middle - The episode Red Dress to show the importance of caring.
- Babar - The episode Babar's Triumph is used to reinforce the importance of citizenship.

Trivia[]
- In the Kids for Character finale, a live-action shot of Ms. Frizzle played by Lily Tomlin and Liz dressed up as a mascot is cut out and replaced by a couple of shots from the Magic School Bus episode: "In the Haunted House" for unknown reasons.
- This is the only time barney, bj and baby bop unite with anyone in the show except everyone in the barney segment.
- Yakko and Dot Are Not In segment,except Wakko and Scratchinsniff, They are stuck in an elevator for several hours.
